A combination of a chocolate factory, a water-park, and an amusement park, Hershey Park is an ideal place for family vacation. We have been longing to visit this place since it is only two hours away from where we live. During the past Memorial weekend, we finally had a chance to visit Hershey Park located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. When we arrived there, a miniature bus took us from the parking lot to Hershey’s Chocolate World, where we explored how Hershey company produces their famous chocolate candies on a free chocolate tour ride. We learned about the entire process of manufacturing a single Hershey’s product from cocoa beans into chocolate, including different steps such as mixing, storing, packaging, and delivering.
Throughout the entire tour, we sit in the cart listening to the voice informing us about what we were seeing. After the ride, we got to taste freshly made sample Hershey chocolate bar. The chocolate melted inside my mouth with rich cocoa bean flavor. The Hershey Chocolate World has many stores selling Hershey products and merchandise, we strolled around, gaping at the varieties of Hershey products all made from cocoa beans.
After visiting Chocolate World, we headed to the amusement park and the water-park. There are roller coasters, carousels, teacup spinning ride, bumper cars, and many more. My brother and I chose to ride one of the giant roller coasters in the park. Although we were scared, we decided to take our chances and ride it. We both had a lot of fun on it. We went to play on some water slides after in our swimming suits. It felt cool and refreshing to be soaked by water on a hot summer day. As the sun began to set, we left in a cheerful mood. It sure was a sweet day!
